Of Duplicate Posts and a Headache

Last week, I was looking for yet another nice blog template (free of course) that I could use for this blog. I  wanted a different look from the standard templates provided by blogger.  I still couldn't appreciate the new dynamic views that much.  Call it my artist's temperament but I could really be fidgety with how my blog should look.  As always, it took me a long time to find one that suited me.  I had several choices that I bookmarked.  I compared the templates side by side, until I came up with a final choice and that is what I am using now.
I have tried various templates, actually.  And some  made me cross-eyed trying to figure out things.  I am not that well-versed with HTML codes.  Oh, I get to learn a few things here and there from mistakes I've made with the templates while tweaking them to suit my taste.  Just browsing templates is enough to give me headaches.  What more if, I find to my horror that one template actually screwed up my whole blog.  It was such a mess!  Imagine having your posts duplicated.  While this tutorial and that tutorial gave me ideas, it did not help solve my problem.  I was getting panicky, actually, but I am not one who would easily give up, not until Google stops giving me search results hahaha!  What finally did it was when I reverted to the old blogger interface.  That did the trick and those two tutorial links above worked like magic.  Whew!  Major headache there.

Now, this current template I'm using is another story altogether.  The good thing is, I am learning from my mistakes.  And I'm posting my unfortunate experience here for others who may be on the same boat.  There is always a way out of any predicament.  If all else fails, you can always create a new blog lol!

  1. Choosing the right template is very important as you will have to stick with it permanently. I wanted to change mine a few months ago, but I was scared I might lose everything I placed there. By the way, it's great to be in this blog, the one that will showcase your soft side. :-)

  2. I am hopelessly never contented with a template. That's why I am contemplating on learning to make one myself but that would be like tons of headache for me. I probably wouldn't mess with my blog if it has a lot of content already.

Hahaha soft side nga ba? Probably my more relaxed side, I guess.

Anyway, Oo nga noh? Wala kasi ako png before and after pic. Will be inserting those once i get it done. Pero this blog is an example. Yung homepage nitong blog mo, nakasummarize and with thumbnail. Ito yung tutorial ko.
