{Day 26}: Gentle Whispers

Today's word prompt: WHISPER

God has many ways of displaying His splendor and power.  We see and feel that in so many ways, in certain ways that never fail to get our attention.

{Day 12}: Soar Above the Storm

Word prompt: STORM

Beacon from Freedigitalphotos.net

Start...

Living in a country hit by tropical storms, with landfalls averaging 8-9 per year, storms are a part of our life all year round. I'm used to these and as a child, I even welcome them.  It means no classes and you know students.  Back then, storms never bothered me.  I've always been warm and safe in our house, situated in that area where we're unaffected by flooding.  And most times, you'd find me by the window, enjoying the gusts of wind or simply watching as the fierce downpour beats against the roof and the window panes.

The Calm After the Storm

I happened to look out the window and for the first time in 4 days, I can finally see a faint ray of sunlight.  It finally broke through the thick gray clouds!  It's still very cloudy indicating more rains but at least it's not a continuous downpour as in the past 3 days.  The rain would still come in spurts so an umbrella or coat should never be out of reach when going outdoors.  You never really know when it's going to suddenly pour out from the sky...no warning drizzles.

God's Perfect Timing

Source
Talk about impeccable timing.  I went home to the province last Saturday and all throughout the bus ride, it was a good weather.  Just barely a few minutes after I got home and settled down my baggage, the rain poured out.  Whoa! It's like a hair's breadth from being all soaked up!  I was silently thanking God for holding it up a bit...then I thought no more of it...but that's not yet the end of it.

Chilling Out With Vanilla Twilight

I love the expression on the people's faces as they look up at what was supposed to be a vanilla twilight sky. Was that the Aurora Borealis or something else? I think it's something else because the Northern lights are more colorful, I think. But whatever it is, it really is a heavenly thing. I will always be in awe like them. As I am with the song. I find the melody relaxing much like Owl City's "Fireflies." There's some sweetness in the tune. The lyrics are simple and sweet also. I can keep on listening to this all day.  And it does remind me of someone.  :-)

I Missed The Solar Eclipse

Hinode Observes 2011 Annular Solar Eclipse by NASA Goddard Photo and Video

How could I have missed the solar eclipse this morning?  Actually, I didn't know there was going to be one.  I wasn't able to watch the news (when do I ever do that?) or surf the net yesterday.  Also, I was again in a rush to go to work.  I woke up late.  Call it the Monday blues.  I just wasn't ready to part with my soft pillow this morning.  Ever since the weather became cooler, I found it harder to get up early in the morning.
